Learning facebook in 20 minutes

Impossible so I’m going to write in my blog instead.

I usually have only 20 minutes at nap time do stuff without kids. Today I decided to update my friends on what I’m doing in my facebook account. The only reason why I joined facebook is because most of my friends use it; however, I wasn’t able to quickly figure out how to leave a long message about each of my kids and upload pictures. Alas, I was left to go back to my public blog and leave a message about how I am not a fan of facebook instead.

Generally I only look at facebook when my husband has his opened. I may look at my account every 2 or 3 months. I am becoming more out of the loop with my out-of-state friends because they blog less often now that they are all on face book. I don’t understand why they use facebook as most of their families and friends are a stones throw away and they see each other at least once a week. Yet one more thing to draw us away from reality and into the voyeurous lives of others.

  1. I totally agree with you and while I check facebook probably once a week, I find it hard to keep up with how my far away friends are doing. Since they don’t really use facebook as much and since I’m not checking all the time, things get buried by people who update every few minutes so it defeats its purpose for me.
