Rachael Ray is coming to Town

For about the last month I have been watching Rachael Ray with my children before we have dinner at night. Her meals look easy enough to make and are somewhat nutritious. The greatest fun in watching her has been my oldest saying Yum-o at foods she normally turns her nose up to and #2 saying “Rachael Ray” while she sits still to watch the program. This program is now taped on our MYTH box and is frequently requested as a program to watch.

So when I heard that RR was coming to town, I decided to extended birthday surprises, and take my daughter to see Rachael Ray at our local Williams-Sonoma.

To have her sign a book you have to purchase Rachael Ray’s Big Orange Book
ahead of time from the store as your “ticket” to see her for about $28.00. We will see how we handle it with a long line and lots of people. I expect my daughter to be silent while I do the talking while there and then to have her talk about seeing Rachael Ray for the next month or two.

As a side note. “Rachael Ray’s Big Orange Book” costs almost twice as much at W-S as Amazon, you can’t purchase the book online from Williams-Sonoma.com (although you can call the store to have it held at “Will Call”, and you must purchase the book from your store with proof of purchase in order for Rachael Ray to sign the book.

Being a tightwad, I am somewhat irked at being forced to spend more, but look forward to seeing my daughter’s reaction and the happy times of us trying out the recipes together.
